Time for our weekly roundup on How To Watch Free TV! Let's build the ultimate October Horror Marathon for $0. There's more recommendations coming this week too.
Check out our Youtube video running through a longer discussion of these movies! (And some surprises... 👀) I dive into why I picked each film and where to find it. But, if you want to get right into the movies, we have each pick and where to find it right here:
This week, all of our picks come from Kanopy's Crypt Collection! Kanopy is available through your public library, so you're already paying for it. Go ahead and get in there to see what treasures are hiding.

Ultimate Horror Marathon Playlist:
Midsommar - Tubi, Pluto TV, Roku Channel, Fandango, Plex, Zumo Play & Kanopy.
One of the A24 standard-bearers for a reason. Ari Aster brings us the haunting tale of why the countryside is not to be trusted! But seriously, a Horror fan favorite completely for free!
Good Boy - Kanopy
Indy the Dog, take a bow. Shudder and IFC let our friend become a Horror hero with Good Boy from 2025. His owner Josh makes so many terrible decisions, but the dog truly is man's best friend.
Night of the Living Dead - YouTube, Tubi, Roku Channel, Pluto TV, Fandango, Xumo Play, Kanopy, Sling TV, Prime Video, and Plex.
The granddaddy of 'em all. Romero begins the entire Zombie wave with this black-and-white feature. It still packs a punch all these years later. And, they keep remaking it for a reason!
Sleepaway Camp - YouTube, Tubi, Roku Channel, Pluto TV, Kanopy, Philo, Prime Video & Plex
You should hear some experts talk about this, take it away BJ & Harmony:
Five Dolls For An August Moon - Tubi, Kanopy, Xumo Play, and Plex
You know we get a little artsy on the program. Nothing about this tracks, and that's wonderful to me. Not the only time we feature this director for the video... Good time!
Black Sabbath - YouTube, Kanopy, Tubi, Pluto TV, Xumo Play, Sling TV, and Plex.
Classique. Love how this one is lit. A lot of Horror anthologies owe a ton to this work right here! Long tail on Black Sabbath, and I think that's really freaking cool.
Shelby Oaks - Kanopy
So, this one sparked a lot of conversation. But, most people probably just need to see it for themselves. Young Chris Stuckmann was just out here living his dream. Hopefully it encourages other filmmakers to get out there and create.
The Tipsy Mystery - Kanopy, Tubi & Plex
A nice little change of pace. Horror comedy series about trying to solve a murder with the ghost of the victim? Yeah, sign me up. It's zany enough to make me forget some of the graphic nature, a win!
The Ugly Stepsister - Kanopy
Whew, gross. But, also made me think! Bring your sick bag because the body horror is up pretty darn high here. 🤢
We're All Going To The World's Fair - Kanopy
NOTE:
Nosferatu: Ground Up Music Presents! - Kanopy , YouTube, Tubi
An interesting decision to get Bob Lanzetti back there to make a score for this silent classic. Yo, this is still unnerving! Which just shows that the hits are the hits for a reason.
