Free Movie + TV Recommendations 8/9 | Knightriders & The Waterboy

Aaron and Tony Pauletto talk about some of the media that raised them, like... apparently... nuclear apocalypse thriller Miracle Mile (1988)....?!? Along the way, we'll meet a biker gang that jousts in Knightrider (1981) and all the alien vampires of Planet of the Vampires (1965).

Miracle Mile (1988) - Free on Tubi & Pluto

An apocalypse film that serves as a sneaky great Los Angeles movie too. This one’s a bit bleak, so be wary of that if you’re not down for a bit of a gut punch!

Knightriders (1981) - Streaming on Tubi, Pluto TV, Roku Channel

A biker gang lives by the chivalrous code. George Romero deep cut starring Ed Harris!

Planet of the Vampires (1965) - Streaming on Pluto TV

The birth of blue and pink lighting that rules the roost now? A singular sci-fi horror flick from Mario Bava

Listners have been digging the summer merch on the Free Space store! All you space truckers can’t get enough of those Free Space Gradient tank tops!

We’re keeping it loose this week as so many people are talking about different genres right now. It’s a wild time to be sure! Let’s get into even more free TV and movies for you:

Weekend Recommendations!

The Waterboy - Streaming on YouTube

-   Happy Gilmore 2 continues to light it up over on Netflix. But, let’s take a detour over to another Adam Sandler sports movie classic. 1998’s model focuses on Bobby Boucher who takes hydration and the game of football very seriously. A millennial gem, this movie has all the warts you would expect from a project this old. But, people still love it to death. (S/o to Kathy Bates!)

Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross - Streaming on Roku Channel

  • We mentioned her show in last week’s newsletter and after just three episodes, Season 2 has already been announced. The award-winning actress takes us on trips with her to Spain, Mexico and Morocco. It’s therapeutic TV, she’s charming and genuinely curious about the places she visits. GREAT vibing TV here for travel/reality show fans.

Demascus - Streaming on Tubi

  • This little sci-fi comedy drama has had such a life already. Originally an AMC Networks program, then a couple different stops before landing on Tubi! Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm’s show sees a 33-year-old man exploring experimental therapy that show him alternate versions of himself. Much more wild than that little blurb covers! I interviewed the creator and highly recommend!
