Bel-Air has the spotlight headed into a big final season on Peacock. (But, for our purposes, all of Season 1 is free on Roku Channel!) It’s been a long road with Jabari Banks and the show exits a wildly different entertainment landscape than the one it entered.

Through it all the Banks family tackled so many different topics with a dramatic hand. When Bel-Air was first announced, a lot of people thought they'd be rebooting The Fresh Prince of Bel Air straight up.

However, that was never to be as showrunner Carla Banks Waddles had other ideas. The result, 4 seasons of what the famous family could look like if you twist and turn the story all upside down. Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

Joey - Free on YouTube

In our biggest video on Youtube to date, people were excited to revisit Joey. The friend spin off from 2 decades ago had another Than the Sun as NBC put up both seasons of the show on Youtube for free Matt Leblanc beloved Friends character gets more adventures in Los Angeles and this light hearted TV throwback.

We’re hoping that some other TV studios and rights holders take this tactic. People just need to see these programs. Joey is getting more buzz on social media than it ever would have if it had been walled off in Peacock. 

The Hobby: Tales From the Tabletop (2024) - Streaming on Kanopy, Roku Channel, Fandango at Home

Simon Ennis takes a look at games and why we do the things we do. I adore the idea of tabletop and the rise of the hobby among folks online. There’s no question this is one of the biggest special interests in the world now. So, if you’d like to learn a bit? Throw this documentary this weekend.

The Great Escaper! - Streaming on PBS Passport!

Over to PBS Passport! We've got The Great Escaper. PBS Masterpiece might take a little bit of a contribution, but its pretty easy to get all the same. Michael Caine is in here! Which you just love to see. Glenda Jackson as well! 

Michael Caine is Bernard Jordan in a true story from about a decade ago. He got fed up with being in a care home. He’s headed to join up with his fellow war veterans in Normandy to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Two-time Oscar winner, Glenda Jackson stars as Bernie's devoted wife, Irene. 

This drama is charming and poignant. And I feel like all of us are looking for purpose in our lives. And The Great Escaper has that percolating behind it. Here’s the trailer
